Pray The Word

The Word teaches us not to harden our hearts when we go through pain and suffering. These Bible verses remind us that we will see God's power if we stay broken. Let us pray.

1. All praise to You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by Your great mercy that we have been born again because You raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation. (1 Peter 1:3)

2. Thank You, Jesus, that You disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. You shamed them publicly by Your victory over them on the cross. (Colossians 2:15)

3. Lord, thanks be to You who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us, diffuse the fragrance of Your knowledge in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

4. Lord Jesus, our determined purpose is that we may know You, and that we may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from Your resurrection, and that we may so share Your sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into Your likeness even] to Your death, [in the hope]. (Philippians 3:10)

5. Father, thank You that You heal the brokenhearted in the USA and bind up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)

6. Lord, many are the afflictions of the righteous but thank You that You deliver them out of them all. (Psalm 34:19)

7. Thank You, Lord, that You are near to those who have a broken heart, and You save those that have a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

8. Lord, it is good for us that we have been afflicted, that we may learn Your statutes. (Psalm 119:71)

9. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—these, O God, You will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

10. Lord, we will keep our hearts with all diligence as we pray for the USA, for out it spring the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

11. Thank You, Jesus, that You are the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in You, though they may die, shall live. (John 11:25)

12. Lord, help us to remain faithful even in our suffering because then we will also rule with You. (2 Timothy 2:12)

13. Lord, we ask that You give us one heart and that You put a new spirit within us, and take the stony heart out of our flesh, and give us a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19)

14. Father, whenever we stand praying, if we have anything against anyone, we will forgive them, that You may also forgive us our trespasses. (Mark 11:25)

15. Lord, our comfort in our suffering is this: Your Word revives and gives us life. (Psalm 119:50)

16. Thank You, Jesus, that You suffered and died outside the [city] gate in order that You might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] Your own blood and set them apart as holy. (Hebrews 13:12)

17. Father, thank You that anyone who is in You is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

18. Lord Jesus, help us to follow Your example. You were oppressed and afflicted, yet You opened not Your mouth. You were led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so You opened not Your mouth. (Isaiah 53:7)

19. Father, thank You that our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17)

20. Lord Jesus, since You suffered in the flesh [and died for us], we will arm ourselves [like warriors] with the same purpose [being willing to suffer for doing what is right and pleasing God], because whoever has suffered in the flesh [being like-minded with Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [having stopped pleasing the world]. (1 Peter 4:1)

21. We look to You, Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who, for the joy that was set before You, endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

22. Father, we press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)
